The space
- Exclusive use of a fresh and beautifully designed detached villa on two levels, featuring contemporary décor with wooden floors and modern bathroom facilities;
- The property has a wonderfully bright and substantial reception room area, well equipped for entertaining, eating and seating. It incorporates solid oak traditional open-plan kitchen with open-vaulted cathedral ceiling and well appointed appliances;
- French doors provide step-free access to timber-decked terrace and extensive (1½ acre) ultra-private garden;
- 7-person hot tub available. {For avoidance of doubt, this is a heated tub pool - NOT a swimming pool - for guests' exclusive and private use. Safety rules apply.}

Villa comprises reception hall, lounge/sitting room, home office/working area, six standard bedrooms plus two further bedroom areas, double-basin master bathroom plus 3 more shower rooms with basins plus WCs (FOUR bathrooms in all). [ie. Bedroom areas comprise 4 quadruple/family rooms, 1 twin+1 double bedroom, plus two further (less private) areas with further beds.] All rooms and lounges are spacious enough for flexibility in accommodating extra children, with additional folding beds, or re-configuring as second lounges.

The property is heated centrally by new gas boiler. Lounge room has a real log/coal fire to help make evenings more cozy. Other amenities include laundry facilities with washing machine, single garage plus roof terrace above and plenty of fitted wardrobes / cupboards / drawer chests providing ample storage. Fresh bed linen and bath/tub towels are provided, and can be changed when guests stay for longer durations. Kitchen, dining and cookware is ample for all cooking, baking and eating needs.

For 'Baby-Toddler' clobber, your hosts routinely provide travel cots, high chairs, stair gates, games and toys. Childrens' plastic cutlery, plates and cups are also on hand. No need to pack all that kit and caboodle! ;-)

Guest access
You'll have exclusive use of the whole villa and be able to use your own private garden for exercising or playing as well as share the extensive gardens of 'Rockbank' next door - where your Superhosts live. 200 year-old Rockbank is one of the oldest houses in the Milngavie and Bearsden area. Surrounded by high perimeter stone walls plus tall mature trees, you'll enjoy ultra-privacy during your stay.

The six private family-size bedrooms have plenty of space for guest beds. In addition, the open-plan reception/entertainment area has an additional double sofabed, plus the upstairs landing affords space for an added single bed - bedroom 7 (limited privacy). More foldings beds with mattresses can be made available when required, bearing in mind this is a family home rather than a hostel.]

Optional Extras: Pleasant Hill Scotland routinely provides a hospital profile bed (for guests with special needs), plus wheelchair/kerb/threshold ramps for accessibility. Additionally, for infants, travel cots, high chairs and staircase gates can be provided.

Off-street private parking for 5 vehicles (incl accessible parking). Oodles of free on-street parking available at weekends.

Finally, NO TOURIST TAX - unlike the 5% charged for staying at properties in the centre of Glasgow/Edinburgh!

The villa sleeps 25 in 7 bedroom areas. NOTE: Bedroom area 7 is an upstairs landing area, with very limited privacy. It may not be suited for all guests.

Neighbourhood area is residential and typically very quiet. Milngavie is roughly halfway betwen Loch Lomond and Glasgow City - both culture-rich. Within 10 mile radius, there are >20 golf courses, and multiple leisure/sports/outdoor facilities.

This platform forbids adverts for parties or events. Fair to say, so many groups do hold family gatherings & celebratory events at 'Pleasant Hill Scotland', and we have welcomed multiple wedding parties, multi-family gatherings, friends reunions, as well as respectful hen & stag groups.

MINIMUM BOOKING CRITERIA. Minimum age of guests = 25. Guest group size: 12 guests = Minimum; 26 = Maximum. Minimum number of nights = 3. (4-night min. during July&August plus over festive periods such as Christmas and Easter.) NO extra guests/visitors allowed on to property/premises without hosts' consent.
